Does America still need affirmative action... Given that an African-American has made it to the top of American politics? More than half of blacks -- 57% -- say the country should make "every effort to improve the position of blacks and minorities, even if it means giving preferential treatment," according to a poll conducted last year by the Pew Research Center, a non-partisan Washington think tank that studies social attitudes. Just 27% of whites agree with that view. The same poll shows that nearly half of whites -- 48% -- believe the U.S. has "gone too far in pushing equal rights in this country." Far fewer African Americans -- 27% -- agree.

Obama’s Bicycle Outfit Clowned: He’s accused of looking like Urkel.

*US Weekly's fashion police have cited Obama for an outfit he wore during a recent bike ride in Chicago along the shores of Lake Michigan last Sunday. Along with wearing a helmet, the magazine described him as also sporting "ill-fitting jeans, a tucked in golf shirt and big tennis shoes."

Is Condoleezza’s career more important to her than killing millions of people in Iraq and Iran?

Condoleezza's boss, President Bush, constantly rambles inarticulately about Iran's nucular (sic) weapons and this says everything about him. I never normally criticize anyone's intelligence - we take what we get and do our best with it - but this is the man who has devastated Iraq and Afghanistan and controls the nuclear weapons of the most powerful military force in the world. Condoleezza, on the other hand, is purportedly an intelligent woman. I don't see it in what she says and does - or is her career more important to her than killing millions of people in Iraq and Iran?
