Duke Rape Case
By: Daniel Buckley
Today, it has been widely reported that the charge’s of rape have been dropped by prosecuting attorney Nifong. This is an outrage. These charge’s, which were brought upon these three students at Duke University, of rape on a young woman was filed many months ago. The woman, who has never appeared on television or in any newspaper, made this claim and vehemently stuck to it. She repeatedly claimed that she was raped to prosecuters, police, detectives, and doctors.
The definition of rape is this: “Vaginal penetration by the male organ”.
Now I may be wrong, but either it happened, or it did not happen. Someone who has made claims such as she has, must be certain of the events in question. The interesting thing about all of this is that she decides to change her mind after she finds out that she will be put on the stand.
Prosecutor Nifong, however, is just as dirty. Back in April 2006, the DNA from the defendants was shown not matching any of the defendants. Furthermore, the plaintiff turns out to be pregnant, which is news just brought to light. Also, it was reported that this woman has claimed rape before in the past, information that should have been investigated by Nifong prior to charges being brought on the defendants. Nifong owes it to the community as part of his job to investigate the facts accurately and place charges as deserving, in this he totally failed. This prosecuting attorney should be dis-barred, prosecuted, and sued in the court of law. The plaintiff, this low life dredge on our society, should be crossed examined, forced to testify, and prosecuted for purgery if possible.
This entire trial is an outrage. My feelings are that the court system has failed miserably. They have prosecuted claims based on unsubstantiated evidence and ruined lives beyond repair. I support ALL charges dropped, and investigation on Nifong and the “woman” proceed immediately.
